Legalization of Documents

"International Bureau Legalization of Documents" offers services of Consular Legalization of Ukrainian documents for further usage in foreign countries.

The procedure of consular legalization of documents takes place  if the country, in which this document will be presented, is not a party to the Hague Convention.

For countries-members of the Hague Convention provided a simplified procedure of legalization - by putting a special stamp on the documentApostille.

Consular Legalization involves the following steps:

1. Submission of documents to the Ministry of Justice (Ministry of Justice of Ukraine) to certify the authenticity of the signature and official seal.

2. Submission of documents to the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine) to certify the authenticity of the signature and official seal of the Ministry of Justice.

3. Translation and certification of translation by a notary.

4. Submission of documents to the Ministry of Justice (Ministry of Justice of Ukraine) to certify the authenticity of the signature and seal of notary.

5. Submission of documents to the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine) to certify the authenticity of the signature and official seal of the Ministry of Justice.

6. Contacting the Embassy or Consulate of the State in which the document will be used - directly for its legalization.

Deadline of consular legalization depends on the country for which the legalization is made and in average of two weeks.

For representation in all instances, and at the embassy or consulate – a power of attorney on employees of the "International Bureau Legalization of Documents" is required.
